     Perhaps one the biggest debut albums of all time. There is something about a debut album that gets me excited. The artist is giving everything to get their songs out, they often have a lifetime of ideas and are putting them all on the line with a debut album. Essentially, they will make it or break it with this one shot. I have created quite a few debut albums in this album series; Jimi Hendrix, Guns N Roses, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Sex Pistols, all amazing debut albums. For Amy Winehouse I wanted to add a few special details. I started by stitching tonal black hearts in yarn over the stark black background and then for Amy herself sitting in the tub I used over 40 colors of rayon thread to get all of the details in her face and hair. The piece was finished with a large logo patch that was embroidered and then added to the album at the end.
