The Western Series
This exhibition is an exploration of memory, craft, and the visual language of Americana.
Each work arises from a dialogue between discovery and reflection—revisiting techniques from past series such as quilting, wood burning, mosaics, and collage—now transformed into something entirely new. These methods are woven into a contemporary visual landscape, where tradition meets reinvention, and where craftsmanship becomes both medium and message. Within this framework, imagery drawn from equestrian life, vintage rodeo, and classic Americana—trick riders suspended mid-flight, bucking bulls, steer skulls, waving flags, and noble horses—emerges with reverence and bold expression. These compositions celebrate not only the spirit of America, but also the labor, skill, and artistry embedded in its cultural history.
