Cinderella’s Long Cold Winter was a more blues-based album than its predecessor. This was always my favorite album from Tom Keifer and Cinderella. I remember seeing them live when they opened for Bon Jovi on the Slippery When Wet Tour. The graphics for this album are minimal. The Cinderella logo is featured in gradient purple over a stark white background. The only other detail in the album is the album title in purple script. Since this album is essentially a blank canvas I wanted to have fun with it, I started by stitching swirling free motion lines using white yarn. The swirls gave movement to the plain background. I then added a few free standing butterflies stitched in shades of purple and white. The logo and album title were created as patches using rayon thread and mounted onto the album.
