Part of the studio's new Animal Series, this piece treats the grizzly bear as a portrait—capturing its spirit and character with the same care given to any living subject. The background is a deconstructed luxury shopping bag, embroidered and quilted before being mounted to a backboard. At its center, the bear emerges in painstaking detail, stitched thread by thread to build depth, texture, and life. Hand-trimmed and mounted on clear acrylic, the figure lifts off the canvas in a striking three-dimensional relief, set against the worn richness of the vintage-luxury backdrop.
