Description

Embroidery stitched directly through a vinyl record sleeve.

12x12x2 inches, framed in acrylic.

This is Ozzy’s newest album and is arguably his best album that he has released since the 1980’s. The production is modern and the writing great, The guest stars like Elton John, Post Malone and Travis Scott make the recording even more amazing. The cover features Ozzy in a bowler's hat and top coat with demon wings emerging from his back with swirls of smoke drifting across the photo. There is a flat feel to the photograph with mostly matted tones do I decided to use super flat polyester thread to embroider this album. The background was created in multiple shades of this thread with the wings stitched in metallic black to stand out. Ozzy was embroidered in the same thread with touches of metallic. The logo and album title were created as patches and mounted onto the album cover at the end.

The albums take up to 8 hours to embroider and can contain over 200,000 stitches. The series is created and designed to be hung together so you can add to your installation wall as you discover new pieces I create. Each of the albums comes with a signed certificate and is framed in acrylic and measures 12" x 12" x 2".
