Even though this is Queens second album I didn’t buy it until long after I was a fan of the band. My first Queen album was News of the World and then I bought them all in a random order. Though not the most popular Queen album it has one of their most iconic covers. The black background features all 4 band members heads cast in shadow. This became an iconic image for the band. To embroider it I had the idea of adding a black glitter fabric for the background and then Stitching the faces in multiple layers of rayon thread. The end result is amazing, the stitched faces really pop off of the stark background. The logo was stitched directly through the glitter fabric.
