Because I use luxury bags in the creative process, I wanted to recreate a shopping bag with this piece. It begins with a luxury bag that is deconstructed, embroidered and then reconstructed back into a bag shape. Luxurious silks are sculpted and affixed, peeking out from the top of the bag. Embroidered butterflies are then dimensionally mounted, creating rhythm and movement across the piece.
