This Gypsy Heart was created in multiple layers. The first part designed was the background, which is inspired by vintage American quilts. The shopping bags were cut into strips and embroidered using geometric patterns. The heart element was crafted with silk appliqués and numerous free-standing pieces that were collaged together. Lace flowers, flowers created with luxury brand scarves as well as embroidered butterflies were added one at a time to create the stunning focal point.
