When you listen to a David Bowie album you never knew what to expect and it was always a surprise. Constantly changing and exploring new genres and sounds is how I would categorize Bowie. Bowie was the ultimate chameleon when it came to artistic risks. Heroes is one of my favorite Bowie albums and the second one that I created in this series. I wanted to emulate Bowie and experiment on this piece. The embroidery is created using a fractal stitching technique where I take the colors of the piece and explode them into digital shapes and then embroider them. The end result is a subtle shift in color and form of the stitches. The title of the album was created as a patch and mounted on as the last step.
